“True independence and freedom can only exist in doing what’s right.”-By: Brigham Young

I agree with this quote because if we do what is correct then we will have the freedom we want but if we choose the wrong then we won’t have freedom at all. For example if we go out with our friends and your parents want you home by a certain time. It is better to follow there rules because if you don’t then they may not let you out again after disobeying them. Instead of choosing the right we decide to choose the wrong because we find that way much easier but it is not worth our freedom. If we want to have freedom then we should be honest and do the right thing. When we choose the wrong then we will not have the freedom we desire to have. If we want to be independent and have fun with our friends then we should do what is correct because when we choose the wrong we have many bad consequences due to our actions. The independence comes when do good actions not only actions that benefit us but actions that may help others as well. Brigham is telling us that we should always do the right thing so we can gain independence. When we choose what is wrong we detain the freedom we want to receive because sometimes our actions cause us to be a certain way.

“ They’re only truly great who are truly good.” -By: George Chapman

I agree with this quote because if we are true then we will be known as someone who it great but if we show we are bad then we will be known as someone who is bad. This quote reflects on us having to be good and being a great person because if we want to be great being good is a very good way. We should be able to have people trust and help them become truly great. For example if we know we have to do homework then we should do it because if we don’t do it we are not making the right decisions. If we want to be truly great then we should do good in the actions we take because if we do bad then we will never go in the correct path. Choosing the right can make us a truly great person overall because we we will do good in the actions we take. If we are truly good then we will be able to be truly great and everything will come out how we want it to.

“Many think that the short term gain will be worth the long term pain, but it isn’t. In addition, using steroids is cheating, and there is nothing worse in sports than a cheater. Don’t do it.”
By - George Mitchell Senate Majority Leader, Presidential Medal of Freedom, Disney Chairman of the Board

This quote is advising us to not be cheaters and to keep going even though it gets tough. We have to keep going because cheating is never the answer to the things we want to accomplish. Meaning if we want to do something we have to do it for us and not cheat we have to be able to learn and do things no matter how hard things get. For example if we know we are going to have homework and a lot of it we should stay home and do it instead of going out with our friends. Once we decide we are  going to go out then we forget about our homework and we tell our friends if we can copy and cheat. That is not correct because there is nothing worse than a cheater not only do we affect ourselves but we affect the people around us. When we cheat not only are we getting into problems we might get others into problems too by dragging them into it. George Mitchell gives us a great example telling us that there is nothing that will ever be worse than a cheater because it's true once we are known for being a cheater people will start to not trust us and the people who we surround with will be looked as a cheater as well. We shouldn’t cheat because we need to work for ourselves and not cheat on the things we like to do because that will make us look bad.

“I won’t  cheat” -Dale Murphy

Image result for dale murphyThis quote is telling us that we shouldn’t cheat no matter the circumstances. We should be able to do the things we need by ourselves without the need of copying others. When we need to be aware that cheating will only bring us bad. When we cheat we only lie to ourselves because when the time comes then we won’t be able to do anything for ourselves. Sometimes we may think that cheating is an only solution but it really isn’t because we are lying and that is not the correct path. If we want to follow the ctr path then we should do what we need to do and do it right so that we won’t have to cheat. Cheating is a bad habit that many people have because they tend to do things they shouldn't.

“ Character Matters Most”-By Dale Murphy

I agree with this quote because it is true character is what matters the most not only to benefit others but for us to be who we are. If we have everything we want then we should have a nice character too because if we don’t then we will have nothing because our attitude is negative. Having a nice character is very important because we get to show people who we really are and they will like us but if we have a bad character then people will think we are shallow and be thinking the worst of us. For example if I had everything I wanted it still wouldn’t be good enough because my character is what matters the most. What I am trying to say is that we have to have a positive character and always be thinking about going forward instead of having a negative character that is always thinking bad.  If we have a nice and positive character everything will come out right for us because we are always on it and we keep moving forward. If we choose what is right then we will have a nice character but if we choose the wrong then we will have a bad character. Our actions determine whether we have a nice character or if we have a bad character because if we do bad things then we have a bad character. On the other hand if we do good things we will have a nice character upon us.
  St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick was  born in Britain to wealthy parents about the fourth century. It is believed he died on March 17 around the 460 A.D. He is known as Patrick but his real name might be Maewyn Succat. He is known as the patron saint of Ireland. The color green is used on St. Patrick’s day because it was a religious belief that Catholics would wear green in Ireland and Christians would wear orange. St. Patrick's day is on March 17 because that is when Patrick died and it marks so they can have a feast that same day or in the weekend near that day. St. Patrick’s day is celebrated to remember one of the Ireland’s patron saints who ministered Christianity in Ireland during the fifth century.   It is known that St.Patrick was taken by prisoners by the Irish Raiders.  Saint Patrick died on March 17, 461 in Saul, Downpatrick, Ireland. He was kidnapped into slavery and was sent to Ireland where he escaped and he converted into Christianity.

“Great beauty, great strength, and great riches are really and truly of no great use; a right heart exceeds all.”-Benjamin Franklin

I strongly agree with this quote because it is true if we have everything and don’t have a nice heart then you really don’t have anything.  For example if you have everything but have a bad attitude towards people then really don’t have anything because your friends wouldn’t want to be around you. Having a nice heart is way better than having everything else in the world because what’s the whole point of you having everything if you are going to have a nasty heart. What I mean is that people think they have everything but in reality they don’t because a nice heart is what really matters. If we have a nice heart then everything will come out good for us even though we don’t have the riches. There has been many occasions where believe having riches is way better than having  a nice hart but that isn’t true because they end up all alone. The reason they end up alone is because people don’t want to be around them because they have an ugly heart. If we want to be different then we have to have a nice heart because it will make us feel better about ourselves and people will notice we aren’t as shallow as they may believe.

“It may make a difference to all eternity whether we do right or wrong today.” -James Freeman Clarke

This quote is telling us that when we choose the right actions we will make a difference but when we do the wrong actions then we will be just like everyone else. When we choose to do the right thing then we will be different because we are using our voice. For example if we are with our friends and they want to cheat on in exam and they want to drag us in it if we stand up and do the right thing then we will make a difference and we won’t be like them. If we always do the right then we will show others an example of the things we are suppose to do because not always people do what is correct most of the time they hesitate and do the wrong thing but if we do the right thing then we will be different and not like them. There has been many cases in which people know it wrong and they still do it because they want to fit in with other people in the group. If we do the right thing then we will be an example for others and they will know we should always do the right thing in order to be successful. We may not be perfect all the time but we try to learn from our mistakes so we can always do the right thing.

“The best way to predict your future is to create it.”-Charles Ketterer

This quote is telling us that if we want a bright future then we should do something about it and not just keep wishing it to happen. We should create the things we want and do something that takes us to that path.  If we our life planning goals daily then we are creating the things we would like to do but if we aren’t planning our goals then we aren’t doing anything to accomplish something. For example if we want to attend a 4 year university then we should create goals that will take us through that path. But if we are being lazy then we will never have a bright future because in order for us to be successful we have to be active and create something so we can achieve our goals. Time in time we will be building up our future but none of that is possible if we don’t create goals for ourselves our future will not be as bright as we would like it to be. That is why we must create a future by having goals like im a do this or that but the most important thing is to have something planned for ourselves.

“Ask yourself is it right or wrong and act accordingly”-Otto Graham ,Jr

This quote is telling us how we must always think twice about the actions we take no matter what. What I mean is that if we know we are going to do a bad action why bother doing it if we know what the consequences would be. On the other hand if know it is correct then we must act the right way so we don’t get any consequences to the things we do. For example if we didn’t study and we know there will be a test we need to think twice and do what is correct because if we do what's wrong then we will get a punishment we don’t necessarily enjoy. If we know something is wrong and we still do it then we are choosing the ctw path because we have to act accordingly to what we do and not the other way around. Sometimes we believe that choosing the wrong won’t bring us any consequences but we are wrong because all the bad things we do eventually we're going to get the consequences we deserve. As Otto Graham said we must always think and not just act because if we do things without thinking then we will be having consequences and we will not act accordingly.

“ Act well you part; there all honor lies”-By;Alexander Pope

This quote is telling us how we shouldn’t lie we have to act well so we don’t make a fool out of ourselves. No matter the consequences we have to always be ourselves and act right because if we choose ctw then we will end up looking bad. For example if we are winning as a school there will be no reason to cheat because we are not acting well. It will be a tragedy if we do an achievement and then later on people find out i achieved but because i cheated.  There is no reason to cheat because we can always make it better if we act the right way. Many of us think that if we do things by cheating we will be more successful but is that true? For a moment we will believe that we are really getting it and people will cheer us on but when everyone finds out the truth they will only see you with bitter eyes. If we act well in life there is a higher chance of more success. For example if a kid cheats on an exam when he is asked to explain he won’t comprehend what he is talking about and that is when people will know he cheated and he will look like a complete fool in front of everyone. But on the other hand if we produce our own work we will  be able to explain the things we did and people will be very proud of us.

“If you do what’s right, if you live the right way, you'll be taken care of” - Rachel Castillo

This quote is telling us that we have to live the right way so we can have everything we can accomplish. It is also telling us that we have to do the good and right things not only for us but for others as well. For example Rachel did not keep the money she found she did a good things and returned it to the owner because she felt she needed too and that’s what she was taught. She did the right thing she didn’t have to receive an award she did it because she knew with or without the money she has everything she can ever need. We might not see it but every time we do  something good for others we will get rewarded. What I mean is that we don’t always have to get rewarded for the good actions but the fact we did it is outstanding because not everyone has the courage to do the right things. If we live the right way then we will have anything we desire because we are doing the right things and living the correct way with no drugs and alcohol. Everything will turn out great if we always do the right.
