The 10 Indian Commandments

1. Treat the Earth and all that dwells therein with respect.
2. Remain close to the great spirit
3. Show respect to your fellow beings
4. Work together for the benefit of all mankind
5. Give assistance and kindness wherever needed
6. Do what you know to be right
7. Look after the well-being if mind and body
8. Dedicate a share of your efforts to the greater good
9. Be truthful and honest at all times
10. Take full responsibility for your actions

Reflection: These 10 commandments are very inspiring because it helps us be better to know we should always choose the right.  The Indian commandments are saying we should work together and be united as one because that is the only way to help each other out when one is in need of help. These commandments are very important because it is what the Indians live by there rules and how they see the world should be. These 10 commandments are actions of choosing the right because they live by doing the right thing. Following this path the Indians are choosing the right and living life peacefully. These commandments state that not only are they together but they are united as a family to help each other out and give emotional or physical support to one another. The 5th commandment states that they must all work together in order to help each other  out and benefit not only themselves but the world instead. Just how we should always give people our support because whenever we need support they will do the same.

“A promise must never been broken.”

Alexander Hamilton is telling us to never break a promise if we promised then why should we break them? When we keep promises then we can be trusted to other people. If we break promises then we are doing bad because a promise is a promise and that can’t be broken. Promises are for us to keep and not to break there are many people who break the promises but that only leads us to choosing the wrong. When we choose the wrong then we break our promises and don’t care about them. But we actually have to care about the consequences we will receive for breaking our promises. For example if we break our promises then we will have negative consequences that we wouldn't like. On the other hand if we always keep our promises then we will have positive results and we would be happy. If we make a promise to stop eating chips then we should keep that promise because now it doesn’t only make us look bad but we put our health in risk and that is bad because you can get very sick.

               Orthopedic Surgeon

Duties and Responsibilities: Orthopedic surgeons take care of people who have problems in the bones, joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. They treat both chronic and acute pain and injuries.  

• Treat patients with skeletal injuries and diseases
• Analyze and develop patient's symptoms and treatment plans
• Perform orthopedic surgeries as per established guidelines
• Recommended proper diagnose test to identify patient’s illness

Salary:  $512,000

Education:

• 4 year bachelor’s degree program in biology
• Complete 4 year of additional medical school
• Followed by a 4-5 year orthopedic residency
• Complete 1-2 year fellowship after their residency

Demands Needed For this Profession:

• Excellent manual dexterity
• Physical stamina
• Strong communication
• Organizational Skills

Reflection; I would not like to become a orthopedic Surgeon because it doesn’t really capture my interest in it. It is a good pay but it isn’t something I would want to become later on. It takes too much time to become a Orthopedic Surgeon and I think I would much rather do something else that takes less years to accomplish.

“Goodness is the only investment that never fails.” -By: Henry David Thoreau

I strongly agree with this quote because it tells us how we must always be good and invest that even more. Henry wants us  to know that we must spread goodness into society more often because if we want to do the right thing then we should invest goodness. I think that what Henry is saying is that if we invest goodness then it can never fail because we are helping others in many ways. We need to be more positive about things and do the right thing even when others think it is wrong. For example if we notice someone is in trouble then we should get them help. If we just stand there and watch then we are enabling to do the wrong thing. People aren’t always going to be nice to you but that doesn’t mean you can’t be nice. I believe that the more goodness we spread then we should be able to choose the right most of the time but if it possible the always.

           Orthodontist

Duties and Responsibilities:  A orthodontist is a dental profession that involves the straightening of the teeth. They are responsible for locating the problems with the positioning of the patient’s teeth and with their oral development. They may use X-Rays or plaster molds of your patient’s teeth to do that. They are responsible for treatment plans and the functioning of the teeth.

Salary: $92.60 an hour and $192,600 a year

Education: In order to become an orthodontist you must graduate from a dental school with a Doctor of Dental Surgery. However you must earn a bachelor’s degree in most cases. You will need to take physics, biology, chemistry, and organic chemistry.

Reflection: I don’t think I’m the right person for this type of job it is not as interesting to me. It pays very good but I am not very well in working this type of job.

This quote is telling us that we should always do the things according to what we believe in. If something is wrong then we should make it right not only because other people do it but because we need to do what is best. An example is when all of your friends are smoking and drinking and they offer you some what you have to do that moment is say no and do what is correct. Your actions should be because that is something you believe is correct. When we make decisions is because that is what we believe it should be. We need to make our own decisions and not have someone influent what we should choose. Even if we decide on the bad actions because it is what everyone believes in it is still considered wrong because you are being influenced by other people when you shouldn’t be.   We need to always choose the right because that is how we decide on the decisions we take.

             Optometry Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities:  They are sometimes referred to medical assistants, they work in offices of optometric and in the vision face facility. There duties can be administrative and clinical. Optometrist assistants help the optometrists by helping them diagnose test, recording and measuring vision, test eye functioning and cleaning and arranging equipment.

Salary:  Median salary is $30,590

Education:

• Complete your high school degree
• 1-2 year program in medical assisting at a vocational school of community

Demand Needed For this profession:

• Strong organizational skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Communication Skills
• Multitaskers

                          

Reflection: I would like to become an optometrist assistant it seems like a very good job because you are helping others in their vision. It seems like a very interesting thing to do because you run the exams there and you're gaining good money.

  This quote is telling us to always do the right thing so that it can be more popular and people could start doing it more often. It is better when people only do ctr and not ctw. It is telling us that we should take out all of the bad actions that we  may do sometimes because it leads us to have horrible consequences. We need to emphasize and embrace ctr so that we can follow in the right path all them time. We may not see it now but ctr is one of the doors we can follow to have a successful life and be successful for our own hard work. If we make the good be more popular then we will have a higher chance of being able to have a great education and have a good character overall.

      Spring Break

     During spring break I stayed home and rested from all the school work I had done right before we went on break. I did go out sometimes but not as much because there was really nothing to do. During vacation I would stay up really late past my bedtime watching shows, listening to ,music and being on social media. A show that I loved so much was 13 Reasons Why it was such an interesting show because it makes us see how words and actions affect others in a negative way. Sports I played were soccer I had fun playing with my family and friends it was really cool to hang out with all of them, I didn’t do homework because I didn’t have homework from any teacher this time they gave us time to relax and have some fun. I met some new people over the break we met at our karate class it was very fun to speak and meet someone new. I went to my karate class and after that we would go to the park. I hated sleeping so late and waking up really early to get on with the day. Overall I had great spring break and I didn’t want it to end but sadly it did.

This quote is telling us that we should always be true meaning in any competition or election he is in he he won’t always win but that’s okay because he tried and he was being true is what really counts. No matter what he will always be true and do what he believes is right. He will stand up for what he thinks is correct even if it means standing up alone. Abraham Lincoln is telling us that we should always do what we believe is correct because we have to choose the right all the time. If you are with someone and they decide to go down the right path you don’t leave them alone you keep going and stand by there side no matter what happens. If we choose the wrong path then we will not be true because we need to always so what is correct and surround ourselves with the correct people. Not only do we need to stand up for what is correct but also stand up with the people who help us out all the time. In that way we can always choose the right and keep moving forward instead of backwards because we have to always be true no matter what.

                          Optometrist

Duties and Responsibilities:  Optometrist do the following:

• Perform vision test and analyze results
• Diagnose sight problems, such as nearsighted or farsighted and eye disease such as glaucoma
• Promote eye health by counseling patients including how to clean eye lenses
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact, and medication

Salary: $97,820          

Education:  Optometrist need a Doctor of optometry degree. They must complete 3 years of postsecondary education including biology, chemistry, physics, and english. Most optometrist receive bachelor’s degree.

Reflection: I would like to become an optometrist because it is a very good career to study. I enjoy science a little bit but it really catches my attention to work in this type of job.

                                              

ctr project

“ Character is higher than intellect.” -  Ralph Waldo Emerson

I strongly agree with this quote because it is very positive in what it’s trying to tell us. Ralph is trying to tell us that if we are very well behaved not only at home but at all places then that is 10x more better than intellect.  We can be smart in many ways but if have a nice character then that is even better because it gives you much more opportunities to be successful. Meaning when you are smart not only are you already admired but you need to have a good habit of doing things. For example there are many kids or students that are very smart yet are the disorganized in the class. If we are responsible and take care of ourselves then we ear a great character as well. Despite the obstacles there are being in a positive mood is much better not only because it helps you achieve better but because it makes you a better person overall. A way to have a good character is to always choose the right no matter what happens. If we use the right daily then we will have a nice character and we will keep moving forward.

I agree with this quote because it is true if we try harder and harder everyday then eventually we will get a reward for that. For example Janeth the student body president she gives a lot of work into it. Since she was a freshman she planned her goals that she wanted to do. Hard accomplishments come from all the effort you have to put in. Janeth was a great example of hard work because she has her whole life planned together. She got accepted to a lot of universities all of that effort she made through high school is paying off on her and now she has a bright future. If we work hard starting from today we will achieve higher than we expected. In my perspective I believe that Tyler Haws is telling me to keep going higher and higher every time so that I can succeed way higher than where I am now. If we keep trying and trying we will build success out of all the hard work we accomplish. Everyday there is a new opportunity to keep trying no matter how hard you fall or how many times what is important is that  we try hard to get back up and to keep trying. Despite the obstacles we may have we have to keep trying to do our best in everything. Hard work will always pay off if we do great in school later on we will be accepted to universities and colleges to have a bright future.
