Orthopedic Surgeon
Duties and Responsibilities: Orthopedic surgeons take care of people who have problems in the bones, joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. They treat both chronic and acute pain and injuries.
- Treat patients with skeletal injuries and diseases
- Analyze and develop patient's symptoms and treatment plans
- Perform orthopedic surgeries as per established guidelines
- Recommended proper diagnose test to identify patient’s illness
Salary: $512,000
Education:
- 4 year bachelor’s degree program in biology
- Complete 4 year of additional medical school
- Followed by a 4-5 year orthopedic residency
- Complete 1-2 year fellowship after their residency
Demands Needed For this Profession:
- Excellent manual dexterity
- Physical stamina
- Strong communication
- Organizational Skills
Reflection; I would not like to become a orthopedic Surgeon because it doesn’t really capture my interest in it. It is a good pay but it isn’t something I would want to become later on. It takes too much time to become a Orthopedic Surgeon and I think I would much rather do something else that takes less years to accomplish.
