“World War ll”

1. During the World War ll many countries fought against each other.  The World War 2 was a battle between two groups of countries named the “Allies” and the “Axis”. In the Allies the countries were Britain, France, Russia,  China, and the United States. The major Axis Powers were Germany, Italy, and Japan.

2. The World War 2 took place in Russia, Europe, Africa, Pacific Ocean,            Asia, Middle East, Mediterranean Ocean. Eurasia, Scandinavia, SouthEast Asia, and the Atlantic Ocean.

3. On July 7, 1937 Japan invaded China announcing the World War ll in the Pacific Ocean.

• About 63 million people died in World War ll. That was more than the entire United Kingdom.
• On August 14, 1945 Japan formally declared ending the World War ll after agreeing i the principle.
• The World War ll lasted for about 6-8 years.

• Attend to a Vetran’s Day Event.
• Hand a flag in our yard.
• Visit the gravesite of a veteran.
• Take flowers to a Veterans memorial.
• Call a veterans family member
• Take a silent moment for those who served in the war
