 Veterans Day

What is Veterans day?
Veterans day is a holiday that is public to celebrate the anniversary of the World War 1 to honor the u.s veterans and the victims of the war. Veterans day is celebrated on November 11. It became a holiday because that’s the day they honor the people who served and helped protect their country during the wars. Veterans day can sometimes get confusing for some people with memorial day. The difference is that in memorial day you just honor the people that died and in veterans day you honor the people that died and the veterans that are still alive who served the country.

Reflection: On November the 11th we get to honor the people who served in our country. It is a very special day because we get to remember and keep in mind that the people who helped during the wars we are very greatful. I see these veterans as heroes because they risk a lot to help and serve our country. Many of the veterans left their families at home wondering if they were okay or if they were killed. The families as well should be known because they were very strong to let a loved one go into the war knowing they may not come back. The veterans as much as their families should be recognized for being so strong because if i were told that one of my parents has to go war i wouldnt let that happen. I wouldn’t be as strong as the veterans and their families. Sometimes we do have to sacrifice  a lot in order to help and serve our country but we don’t want to end up dying or lose a loved one.
