Flight Surgeons (Army)

Duties and Responsibilities: The flight surgeons provide aviation and general medical services for Army aviation personnel. They also provide aviation and general medical services for Army aviation and other operational units. Flight Surgeons serve as a career specialist in aviation medicine in areas of air crew standards, aero medical education,aeromedical research, and aero medical administration.

Salary: They get in between $3,835 or $6,240

Education:
  • Current license to practice medicine in the U.S
  • Eligibility for board certification
  • Complete at least one year of an approved graduate internship
  • Between 21-42 years of age
  • Must be a U.S citizen

Demands Needed For this profession:  
  • Technical skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Patient management
  • Translation of skills.

Reflection: I would like to be a flight surgeon because it is a very interesting career to be in. Not only does it involve the army in involves part of the medical career which I would like to study. The pay is very good and I would like to be one of them helping the ones who serve our country.
