This quote is telling us that we should always be true meaning in any competition or election he is in he he won’t always win but that’s okay because he tried and he was being true is what really counts. No matter what he will always be true and do what he believes is right. He will stand up for what he thinks is correct even if it means standing up alone. Abraham Lincoln is telling us that we should always do what we believe is correct because we have to choose the right all the time. If you are with someone and they decide to go down the right path you don’t leave them alone you keep going and stand by there side no matter what happens. If we choose the wrong path then we will not be true because we need to always so what is correct and surround ourselves with the correct people. Not only do we need to stand up for what is correct but also stand up with the people who help us out all the time. In that way we can always choose the right and keep moving forward instead of backwards because we have to always be true no matter what.

This quote is telling us how when we play fair in games and we don’t have an attitude it is more important that we are honorable and respect because at the end it is just a game. Sometimes we are so caught up with the game and forget to have fun because all we want to do is win. It doesn’t always matter if we win or lose because the most important thing is to have fun and be respectful to the other members. We may not see it but we won’t win all the time there will be times where we will fail but it will be okay because we will learn and do better next time. For example when we are having a discussion or debate we sometimes get caught up in the moment and we will want to win but we forget that the most important thing is to do what is correct. If we win but it is a unfair game then we won’t be feeling right we will feel horrible for choosing the wrong. Life won’t always be about winning or losing it is mainly about showing others that you don’t care as long as you played fair or chose the right you will feel great and everything will be better the next time.
